Okay, I don’t usually into the nitty-gritty of my personal life too often, but I have some very exciting (and bittersweet) news that’s too good not to share!
This Friday marks the three year anniversary (aka: workaversary) at my current job. It’s been an incredible three years of learning, designing, and having a great time with an incredible group of colleagues. However, Friday will also be my last day in my current position, (I know, it’s crazy!) because I’ve decided to pursue an exciting new opportunity doing design work for a small organization in the Chicagoland area! Yes, the Chicagoland area.
There was definitely a point where I thought I’d never leave the Milwaukee area since I have whole-hardheartedly adopted this “let’s love beer and cheese and be nice to each other” attitude, but I’m so excited for this next chapter of my life and career. Wisconsin, with all of your wonderful beer, cheese, and people, you will always hold a special place in my heart (and arteries). My Wisconsin adventures are far from over, but it’s time for something new. It’s not you, Wisconsin, it’s me, but let’s stay friends, okay?
That being said, things have been a bit crazy over here! Between client projects, packing, and all of the fun things that come with moving, my life has been a whirlwind of espresso shots and packing tape. And you know what? It’s going great so far (as bittersweet as it is).
I’m really looking forward to diving into the design scene in Chicago and meeting new friends, designers, and future collaborators! I’ve even registered for Hike Con already! Woot woot! Until next time!
